Profile views tracking

A profile view is a successful load of tourdock.ai/operators/your-slug.

What counts as one view

  • A unique browser session within a 60-minute window.
  • We use the IP + user-agent + a session cookie to deduplicate.
  • A reload within the same hour counts as the same view.

What we exclude

  • Known bot user-agents (Googlebot, Bingbot, AhrefsBot, etc.).
  • Requests with no JavaScript (most crawlers).
  • Internal traffic from TourDock staff during deploys.

What if you see a different number on Google Analytics

GA counts pageviews differently — every reload is a new pageview, and GA's bot filter is heuristic. Our number is typically lower because of the 60-minute dedup. Trust our number for "real travellers reaching you".

Why some views feel "missing"

If a traveller lands on a package detail page without going through your profile, that view does not count for the profile counter. Package views are tracked separately (and visible in MVP2). The traveller still sees your operator name and can click through to the profile, but the entry counted against the package, not the profile.

Boosting the number

  • Share the profile URL — not just package URLs — in your bios.
  • Reply to enquiries with your profile URL in the signature ("see all our packages here").
  • Get listed in your local Hajj/Umrah groups with a direct link.
  • Once the blog ships, link from blog posts to your profile.
