Enquiries explained

A traveller can contact you in three ways:

  1. WhatsApp button on a package card or the public profile. Opens wa.me with a pre-filled message and the package title. They land in your WhatsApp directly. We log the click.
  2. Email button on the public profile. Opens the traveller's mail app with a draft to your business email.
  3. Enquiry form on the package detail page or your public profile. Fields: name, email, phone (optional), country (optional), message. Form submission writes a row to TourDock and emails you (when domain is verified).

WhatsApp is the dominant channel — about 80 % of conversions go through it.

What you receive

For a form-submitted enquiry:

  • Reference code. Every enquiry gets a code like TD-QT-101-A-001. The first three segments identify your operator account and the package. The last is the sequence number. Quote this when communicating with the traveller.
  • Traveller details. Name, email, optional phone, optional WhatsApp, optional country. Required fields are name + email.
  • Message. The free-text question or request the traveller wrote.
  • Source. Where the enquiry came from — package_detail or operator_profile.
  • Timestamp. When it landed.

Where to find them

The Enquiries tab in the sidebar shows the full pipeline. The dashboard shows the last 6. You also receive a browser push notification (if enabled) and an email (when our outbound email domain is verified).

Reply via the enquiry card

Each enquiry card has a Reply via WhatsApp and Reply via Email button. Both are pre-filled with the traveller's info and a polite opening that references their package interest. You can edit before sending.

Notes

Each enquiry has an inline notes field. Type, blur, and the note saves automatically. Use it to track quotes given, follow-up dates, and decisions.
